A. Herbert Alexander, MD

Board Certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Alexander is a graduate of Northwestern University Medical School. He completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the Naval Medical Center Oakland. After serving 26 years in the United States Navy, Dr. Alexander moved to Sun Valley, Idaho where he served in numerous leadership roles including Chief of Staff. While assigned to the Naval Medical Center Oakland, he served as Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Director of both the Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program and Surgical Services, and Orthopedic Specialty Advisor to the Surgeon General of the Navy. Dr. Alexander remains active academically, lecturing nationally and internationally, and holds the faculty rank of Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Bethesda, Maryland. ← Back to Leadership Team
